Past and present

For three days a year, the West Sussex countryside comes alive with the sights and sounds of a golden age, classic racing and vintage fashion taking centre stage at the Goodwood Revival.

Iconic names of road and track - Jaguars, Porsche, Aston Martin et al – are unleashed, as champion drivers past and present put them through their paces around the fast and fearsome Goodwood Motor Circuit once more.

Watching on, a packed crowd in period dress – officers and gentlemen rub shoulders with Mods and Rockers, as visitors whole-heartedly embrace the spirit of the occasion.

Exploring the Revival

The Revival High Street offers a trip down memory lane, modern brands blending past and present to create a feast for the senses.

At the Earls Court Motor Show, classic models and modern machinery sit side-by-side, as some of the world’s top brands showcase the evolution of their engineering, design and technology.

Step over the road and there’s even more to take in – a fairground, roller disco and open air cinema, plus an array of stalls selling vintage memorabilia and gifts.

There’s the chance to gain a glimpse of some rare and truly stunning pre-66 and tax exempt vehicles in the Revival Car Show, while it’s magnificent machines from the air that take centre stage in the Freddie March Spirit of Aviation, this year celebrating 100 years of the RAF.

The Goodwood Revival truly is a stunning spectacle and an unique experience.

Revival history

This year, the Goodwood Revival celebrates its 20th anniversary.

Prior to the first Revival meeting in 1998, the circuit was painstakingly restored to look exactly as it did in its heyday, down to the very last detail.

The Motor Circuit was originally open for contemporary motor racing between 1948 and 1966, and hosted Britain's very first post-war motor race meeting at a permanent venue.
